TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

HIRE CHARGES

  • Prices listed or quoted are for equipment only, additional charges may apply for delivery, collection, set up, pack down and cleaning

  • Payment is required on or before delivery.  Credit Card facilities are not available, cheques are not accepted

  • Hire equipment may be picked up and dropped off by arrangement to Top End Coolrooms premises, however suitable ID will be required

  • A $100 cleaning and security bond is payable on all bookings and will be included in the total amount owing.  This bond is refunded after the hire, if all items are returned on time and as supplied.  Cleaning and replacement costs for any items that are damaged, dirty or not returned will be taken out of the bond and any amounts exceeding the bond amount will be charged to the Hirer

  • There is a minimum of seven (7) days notice required for cancellation of a booking.  If cancelled in the seven (7) day period a fee of 20% of the     total hire cost may apply and cancellation on the hire commencement date may incur a fee of 75% of the total hire cost (at Top End Coolrooms' discretion, regardless of whether hire has been paid for yet or not)

  • Additional charges may be applicable if the Hirer wishes to collect or return or have Top End Coolrooms deliver or pick up equipment after hours or on a public holiday

  • Prices are subject to change without notice

  • Standard hire is 24 hours only, unless otherwise arranged with Top End Coolrooms.  Late returns will be charged at the daily hire rate per day or part thereof

  • Hire shall be charged and be payable from the commencement date, until such time as the hired equipment is returned and in the actual possession of Top End Coolrooms

  • The Hirer agrees to pay all reasonable costs relating to the collection of or legal proceedings bought to recover any outstanding amount payable to Top End Coolrooms

EQUIPMENT CARE, USE & CLEANING

  • For correct operation, all equipment requires a dedicated power circuit (of the correct amperage for the equipment). The circuit must not have other appliances connected

  • Equipment must not be powered through more than one extension lead

  • If equipment is to be powered by a generator, the generator must be able to provide and maintain adequate power for the equipment

  • Low power input will damage the equipment. The cost for repair of damages caused by low power input are the responsibility of the Hirer

  • Equipment is supplied clean and in working order.  It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure it is returned in the same condition

  • A cleaning service is available on request and is charged at a rate of $70 per hour

  • Insurance of the items whilst on hire is the responsibility of the Hirer

  • Any unforseen costs such as loss, damages, breakages, or cleaning must be paid for on return of hired equipment to the possession of Top End Coolrooms 

  • If the equipment becomes unsafe the Hirer agrees to immediately discontinue use and notify Top End Coolrooms as soon as possible

  • The Hirer will not attempt to repair the equipment without the consent of Top End Coolrooms 

  • If the failure of equipment is caused by reasonable wear and tear and for no other reason, including the Hirer's negligence or misuse, Top End Coolrooms agrees, at its own discretion, to either repair the equipment within reasonable time, make similar equipment available or adjust the hire charge

TRANSPORT OF EQUIPMENT

  • When collecting equipment from Top End Coolrooms premises it is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure the towing or tie down equipment used for transporting the equipment is fit for purpose and that all loads are checked by the driver or Hirer prior to departing Top End Coolroom premises. The Hirer will indemnify Top End Coolrooms for any property damage or personal injury in relation to any assistance provided during the loading of equipment, whether or not due to negligence

  • The Hirer will transport and store hire equipment appropriately, including in accordance to weather conditions

  • The Hirer agrees not to transport goods on coolroom or freezer shelving

  • Delivery and/or collection fees are applicable (price upon application)

  • All equipment is the responsibility of the Hirer during the entire hire period, commencing from collection of the equipment from Top End Coolrooms premises (if applicable) until return of the equipment into Top End Coolrooms' possession. The Hirer shall ensure the safety and security of the equipment for the duration of the hire period

  • The Hirer will not sublease or loan the equipment and will not allow its relocation from the specified venue address without the permission of Top End Coolrooms

INDEMNITY

  • Top End Coolrooms will not be responsible for any damage or loss whatsoever caused to any person, property or animal arising from the hire, transport, use or handling in any way of the equipment being hired, even if such loss, damage or injury may be as a result of negligence of Top End Coolrooms, its employees, or servants, and The Hirer will indemnify and keep indemnified Top End Coolrooms in respect of any claim for such loss, damage or injury whatsoever.
